In this project I worked as photographer with the question of what happens in an individual when they are being touched by another. Empowerment. A sense of belonging. Hate. Love. Desire. Rejection. Fusion… What we see, what moves us – does it really belong to the other?
Mala – The Speed of Orange
A foto project with dancers and fashion designers
Fashion & Textile Design, pattern cutting, production, styling: Nari Haase in collaboration with Maria Michael
Models: Aurore Nicolas & Eleonore Turri
About the Collection:
Mala – The Speed of Orange focuses on the value of tradition, craftsmanship and faith, which are threatened to get lost or falsified in todays compression of time.
Nari Haase’s collection was visually inspired by the clear silhouettes of buddhist monk clothes and the aesthetic of slow shutter speed photographs picturing movement. The 3-D printed jewelry, inspired by buddhist praying beads, was developed as a collaboration with the Berlin designer Maria Michael from Onnerboegs Jewelry.
